To figure out how much topsoil you’ll need for your project, you will first need to know the cubic feet you need to fill. You can figure this out by measuring the area’s square footage. From there, you will need at least 8 inches of topsoil depth for a garden bed and 3-6 inches of topsoil for lawns.
